Becoming Batwoman
We're approaching that spooky time of the year! The shops are filled with 3 of my favourite things ... sweets, black cats and bats!
You probably already know my house is filled with black cats (the old teddy bear Archie, slinky Bombay Ziggy and the monkey kittens Ozzy and Vincent).
But did you know I also became a temporary bat mum?
Sometimes inspiration for a piece comes from a day out at a wildlife park, others a picnic by a lake, but occasionally inspiration flies right into my house!
When this happened (after the initial panic) I became Batwoman!
Batwoman priorities:
1: Caring for the bat pups (water and electrolytes suckled on a paintbrush - keeping with the artistic theme!)
2: Preparing a pup reunite set up for dusk (a ladder, cloth, card and peg creation - again using some creativity!)
3: Once the pups were safely reunited with their mums, making bat themed mosaics!
