Celebrating one year!
Wow, I am so excited to share this milestone with you all! September 2026 marks the one year anniversary of Hope Mosaics!
When I made a few mosaics and donated them to brainstrust in June 2025, I would not have believed that a few months later I'd be starting a business and selling my art!
3 months later, with a lot of encouragement and courage, I officially launched my online shop and sold my first piece.
I am also marking another milestone in the next few days ... 10 years since neurosurgery to remove my brain tumour. It's a coincidence that the 2 dates so closely align, but it also feels significant. Would I have become a mosaic artist if I hadn't found the connection between rebuilding my shattered life and bringing together the broken pieces of glass?
A wise woman recently told me, after seeing one of my A Level sketchbooks from back in the 90s, "You were always an artist!"
I feel like I can say that now, one year into this wonderful creative journey, 26 years after filling that sketchbook and 35 years after making my first mosaic ... more on the bumpy journey that fills in the gaps between these years another time!!
For now, let's just celebrate the moment .... any excuse for cake!
