There's a little bit of bark missing from the edge of this natural slice of wood. I think it adds character, as each piece is unique!
I am drawn to mosaic art through my appreciation of imperfection and uniqueness; something beautiful is created from broken pieces. This resonates because of my personal recovery from neurosurgery to remove a brain tumour, rebuilding my life and my health with a different version of me.
To show my appreciation for the support I continue to receive from the charity brainstrust, I will donate 10% from every sale to their work supporting people with brain tumours.

These mosaics are perfectly imperfect! They are never rejected for a little chip in a tile, rather embraced for their uniqueness.
